DHBW studies
Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.)
The development of machinery and plant is the key area of technology. Students can expect unusually varied and exciting challenges here: Project work, planning, construction, calculation, testing, manufacturing, client consultation or distribution - the fields of activity and opportunities in the profession are manifold.
The DHBW course lays emphasis not only on basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, but also on teaching elements of business administration and personal competences (capacity for teamwork, communication behaviour, learning methodology).
The foundation course is followed by in-depth studies concentrating on construction and development and/or production technology.
In the practical phases the knowledge learned is tested in an apprenticeship company and applied and broadened under the real conditions customary within the industry.
